What is fall down?

Fall down refers to a sudden loss of balance that causes a person to collapse downwards onto the ground or a lower level. It can happen due to various reasons such as slip, trip or stumble, poor visibility, tripping on an object or uneven surface, loss of consciousness or dizziness, muscle weakness, and various medical conditions such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, vertigo, etc. Falls can result in minor injuries such as bruises and abrasions, or more serious injuries such as broken bones, head trauma, and even death. Older adults and individuals with mobility impairments are at a higher risk of experiencing falls. It is important to take preventive measures such as wearing sturdy shoes, removing clutter and tripping hazards, ensuring proper lighting, and regular exercise to improve balance and strength.
